The CAAC has reviewed this Idea and, after careful consideration, does not recommend that IBM move forward with the request in its current form at this time.
Reason: The CAAC determined that the information needed for programmatic use is already available through existing IBM i SQL services. The subgroup did not find sufficient broader client value in modifying QLZARCAPI solely to address the missing period in one of its returned messages, as applications can account for the current message format through parsing logic. The related request to add virtual serial number information addresses a separate requirement and would be better evaluated as its own focused IBM Idea.
Although the CAAC is not recommending implementation of this request, Ideas such as this help IBM and the CAAC better understand the needs and priorities of the IBM i community. We appreciate your contribution and encourage you to continue submitting IBM Ideas and sharing your feedback.

I would also like to have the virtual serial number added, if present, to the "SYSTEM INFO ->" section. Currently only the Hardware serial number is present, as "SYSTEM SERIAL NUMBER"
