This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

In the LPEX editor, SQL statements with a blank value trigger a "SQL0113 Name ' not allowed" message.
e.g.:
----------------------------
exec sql
declare SampleCursor cursor for
select Field1,
' '
from TABLE
end-exec.
----------------------------
This will result in the SQL0113 error.
It would be good to add an RDI preference that when selected would allow the apostrophe (single-quote mark) to be used as the delimiter for literal values. This would allow it to be consistent with shop standards.
