Show Properties of Modules in Program Objects in RDI

RDi should display module source and service information for ILE programs like it does for OPM when a program is compiled with *DEBUG information. Some source information is available indirectly thru the Application Diagram, but it should be more directly accessible.

Currently in RDi, only OPM programs display Source and Service Information on the Object Properties. The properties for an ILE object should display all of the module source and service information if the program was compiled to display this information. RDi should use the API QBNLPGMI to retrieve all of the compile information and display in the object properties.

As part of this, it should also be possible in the Remote System Explorer tree view, for a program object which has been expanded to show its modules, for those module children to have a context menu item to display the properties of the module in the program.

Use Case:

A developer or support person may want to find the source file origin or version date of a module within a program object. They currently cannot retrieve this thru RDI displays, but must resort to green screen cmds to obtain.

We have reviewed this requirement and we feel it would be a beneficial enhancement to the product. We hope to be able to add it to our development plans in the future.

This would be an excellent candidate for a third-party (open source?) plug-in tool. There MUST be such tools already available through partner organisations; can they be made available for free?
If it was easier to create Eclipse/RDi plug-ins, RDi enthusiasts would have provided such tools already!

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.
