Lock screen for PC with your finger print if it's remote

This idea is about PCs that are controlled remotely, the person that has the PC synced to their phone will have a timer on PC and will need the owners finger print or digital finger print to unlock by person or from anywhere. This is for privacy

    Thank you for taking the time to submit this IBM Idea and share your feedback with IBM and the broader IBM i community.

    The CAAC has reviewed this Idea and, after careful consideration, does not recommend that IBM move forward with the request in its current form at this time.

    Reason: The requested capability concerns using fingerprint authentication to lock a remotely accessed PC. Managing a PC's local lock screen, fingerprint hardware, and endpoint authentication is controlled by the client operating system, endpoint-management software, or remote-access solution rather than IBM i. While IBM i provides authentication and multifactor authentication capabilities for access to IBM i resources, control of a remote PC's screen is outside the scope of the IBM i product. The CAAC therefore does not recommend implementation by the IBM i development team.

    Although the CAAC is not recommending implementation of this request, Ideas such as this help IBM and the CAAC better understand the needs and priorities of the IBM i community. We appreciate your contribution and encourage you to continue submitting IBM Ideas and sharing your feedback.
