This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Thanks for your feedback. This idea was based on the IBM support case mentioned when creating this idea. After asking IBM support for a confirmation, that this functionality already existed, they confirmed thsi.
For that reason please disregard this idea.
This function already exist and have been available for long time for the Apache HTTP server, however for some reason the function is not called refresh or reload, it is called restart and the name is somewhat misleading.
The easiest way to use this, after a new certificate have been assigned in the DCM, is from the IBM HTTP Web Admin GUI. Select an active http server from the HTTP Servers tab and then choose the Restart button between the Start and Stop buttons.
You should be able to use commands as well, but for me the command has not always worked, the new certificate have not been loaded, so sometimes, I had to fall back to the HTTP Web Admin GUI and do it again from there.
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) RESTART(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(<HTTP_Server_Instance>).
Liberty based Application servers and Integrated Web Service server should be able to pick up the new certificate instantly without ending/starting the service when the certificate have been assigned, either with the HTTP Web admin GUI or the Navigator.
Sadly, the IBM ADMIN* servers do not pickup the certificate, at least not all of them, but most likely the ADMIN* servers can be restarted without impact of the users applications.
I have previously made a comment about this in the following IBM idea: https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/IBMI-I-4563
