View to get a list of volumes along with media policy

Currently there is no way to get a list of volumes along with their media policy. We either have to use a control group method but that is not feasible where multiple control groups are used each day and backup strategy is complex.

Additionally, instances where volumes are duplicated, there is no possible way to get a list.

It will benefit everyone requiring to identify a tape and the policy it uses in a single glance. It will help in reporting, sorting of tapes and also in tape/backup management strategies effectively without having to move through multiple screens and making co-relations manually between control groups, media policy and media classes to actually get the required information.

    The BRMS team believes that the request described has been solved and is available with the September 2026 BRMS PTFs (7.4 - SJ10564, 7.5 - SJ10565 and 7.6 - SJ10566). The Media Policy has been added to the Media table on the BRMS web interface along with an 'View Duplicates' option.
