Zero-downtime security updates for exit program changes

  1. Running server jobs must pick up new exit programs, updated or replaced programs, and removed programs without requiring restart.
  2. Active client connections must not be disconnected and session state must be fully preserved.
  3. The solution must apply to IBM server exit points such as database, file, and DDM servers.
  4. The mechanism must minimize performance impact in steady state.

    Yes, agree that they should be able to change without restarting the service.

    For the record, exit points changes is already logged to the QAUDJRN with the *SECURITY as
    Journal Code = T
    Journal Entry Type = GR
    Journal Entry Sub Type: A = Exit program added
    D = Exit program removed
    R = Exit program replaced
