Modify cache for system commands to prevent constant downloads of commands that prompt.

I often need to use ADDLIBLE and RMVLIBLE when supporting other developers. While working remotely it has become noticeable that the ADDLIBLE and RMVLIBLE commands are never cached locally and are always downloaded.

I guess one could say 1o 15 seconds is really not that much time but it does add up through a day.

Create or update the cache so that system command are cached after first prompt. Then give an option (good) to allow for clearing the cache to refresh it or (better) a timer to force it to re-cache the command definition or (best) add code to notice modification signatures of the commands on the server verses the downloaded definition.

Use Case:

You need to have a slower connection than most in-office offer, like a home VPN. Open RDi, find the ADDLIBLE command filter and expand it. I usually wait about minimum 15 seconds for the popup to appear (on the wrong monitor from RDi's main window).

The initial reason described was for somewhat ad-hoc work but the same problem condition applies to editing CL commands. It becomes wors as you can have many commands to prompt. Often I like to quickly key the command in san-keyword then prompt to load the entire command with keywords into the source.

Using the keyword on commands in programs is safer than relying on the order of keywords processed by the command.

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.

I don't understand how using the commands window is better. RDi still downloads the command to display the prompt. My ask is to have this cached so the pop up prompt doe snot need to be delayed. Standard commands like ADDLIBLE are rarely modified so the need to download them every time is a waste.

Why don't you just use the commands window ? You can enter any command without a single delay.
