I recently added a second monitor to my machine, to be able to utilize RDi more effectively. The second monitor is in portrait mode (picture a TV turned sideways).
I've been dragging source onto the second screen & then maximizing the screen, which allows me to see quite a bit of code.
Usually, I use keyboard-shortcuts (such as Control-Shift-V to verify, Control-Shift-C to compile).
However, today I was working with a module, and I wanted to access the Compile menu, to click on CRTRPGMOD.
When I did so, the source on the window on my first monitor was compiled. I figured that maybe I didn't have the source on the second screen in "focus". I tried again - either the Compile commands were all grayed out, or when they weren't grayed out, would compile the member shown on the first display.
When I dragged the source form the second screen back onto the main source area on the first screen, I was able to compile.
I contacted a speaker who talks about RDi frequently, describing my issue. The speaker tested it & experienced the same issue.
So I thought I'd submit an RFE to see if this could be looked into further.
Inconvenient to need to drag source back to main source area on first monitor in order to access commands (such as Compile) from the menu instead of keyboard shortcuts.

Hi Darryl,
So what is going on here, is that when you click on the Compile Menu, you are transferring the window focus to your main RDi and away from your secondary window that your tore off. If you simply hit Ctrl-Shift-C or V, it would work fine.
This is basically a function of how Windows operates.

I would like to add that the source file in RDI store the compile command parameters.
I find when using the "run compile command without prompting" button it uses defaults not the last used compile command. This is important when you change compile parameters.
