Allow current date usage in RDi snippet controls

The snippet view allows you to create dynamic variables, using "${varname}" string formatting. Allow the current date constant value to be selected.

Use Case:

I have some snippets I use, with variables to represent the current date. I have to constantly key in the current date's value.

We have to reject this since snippets view has been replaced with the Templates view in 4.19 of Eclipse. Can you open a new RFE for templates?

I tried templates. While I could utilize ${date} for current date, my snippets utilize several dynamic entries. I cannot find a way to allow the user to enter dynamic values for the template.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Have you tried using template? It does provide implementation for ${date} and can be used with content assist.
If not, can you have a try and see if it can satisfy your need?

By the way, snippets view has been replaced with the Templates view in 4.19 of Eclipse.
