For Debug Server started using the command STRDBGSVR the Keep Alive on its port (3825) is never sent.
See case TS008748689
We found that despite any value set on CHGTCPA TCPKEEPALV parameter the QB5ROUTER "debug server router function" servicing RDI debug request from Clients never uses keepalive function causing Network issues.
To clarify, having CHGTCPA TCPKEEPALV set to 15 mins IBM i does keepalive on all RDI related ports (Host Server ports 847x) but it does NOT on 3825 port where keepalive is never done causing their firewall settings to close idle RDI debug session as its idle time exceeds idle inactivity times set on their Firewall (60 mins).
To recover from closed RDI debug connection Customer must restart Develop environment on PC Client.

The CAAC has reviewed this Idea and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. As the expansion of remote development continues, this will become a broader issue in using VPN.

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed. Having a solution to meet this need seems like a good idea. However, we have voted medium as we would like IBM to focus on other prioriries at this time.

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.

I think that also Debug Server must have a keep alive; integrated or associated to the value inserted in the parameter
TCPKEEPALV of CHGTCPA
