This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Thank you for taking the time to suggest this enhancement to our product and for your votes.
The ctrl-hover that was implemented in 8.5.1 has satisfied this request.
A mouse-hover over a constant to get the value would satisfy me.
Kurt,
Content Assist is not usual used to look up constant values in the Eclipse way of thinking. Would something like hitting a key /context menu to navigate to the definition (could always jump back) or even better, showing a hover that would contain the definition of the constant, meet this requirement?
This RFE is consistent with our strategy and product roadmap and will be under consideration for a future release. Status has been updated to Uncommitted Candidate.
True, I had RPGLE in mind.
This RFE is consistent with our strategy and product roadmap and IBM is continuing to evaluate.
We are assuming that this RFE is a request for an ILE RPG Content Assist enhancement and not ILE COBOL.
