RFE Request - Full listing view capability in Debug
On occasion the Listing view in Debug doesn't allow you to view the entire source listing. When scrolling up or down, sometimes it stops scrolling up at a certain line or down at a certain line. This restricts the ability to search for a specific string as a result (Ctrl/K is restricted as well). As debug goes on, this sometimes clears up only if it references a line from the "out of bounds" code. (A IBM individual suggested logging this RFE with the additional suggestion to provide full loading of the source in this listing view as a selectable option somewhere.)
You are in the middle of a debug and it references a subroutine that occurs later on in your code. You attempt to search for that in the listing view, but it will not advance to it because that code has not been loaded. You then have to switch to (or load if available) the source, searching outside of the listing view, which may even not be the correct version of the program now being debugged.
