This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Content Assist for RPGLE does not always present the correct choices.
For instance, say I have an array named Values and a series of constants or variables named iSomething for array indexes. If I then type
Values(i and hit ctrl-Space, the choices presented consists of
Values
I expected to not see Values as it does not start with i, and to see the list of iSomething names.
I had submitted this issue as a PMR, but apparently, I'm hitting a limitation of Content Assist, hence this RFE.
Content Assist should present the complete list of variables, constants and keywords that are valid in the context, with no extra choices.
Ideally, for constants, when the context allows to determine the needed type, only those constants matching this type should be included. For instance, only show numeric constants for an index.
Another example for not showing extra choices:
If I type a free format expression with an =, such as
var = i (ctrl-space)
the list should not include opcodes.
See description.
