This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

It is normal that an RPG enhancement is not available for every target release. However, in the case of the enhancements to the PSDS, which only affect the RPG runtime, there is an issue with programs compiled on 7.3 with TGTRLS(V7R2M0). Those programs will run as expected when run on a 7.3 system, but would not run as expected when run on a 7.2 system without a 7.2 PTF. Therefore, IBM agrees with this request to also provide support for 7.2. However, IBM's plans may change and no commitment is made that a solution will be provided.
Note: Since 7.1 is out of service, no PTF will be provided for 7.1. When the 7.2 PTF is available, a program compiled for TGTRLS(V7R1M0) will run as expected on a 7.2 or 7.3 system, but it will not run as expected on a 7.1 system.
