Worksheet name from Access Client Solutions data transfers

Please provide the ability to set a default worksheet name for .dtfx downloads into Excel (or at least an option to disable the adding of filename info to Excel's default "Sheet1" name).

Use Case:

Sample1.dtfx pulls from file QS36F/SAMPLE1. Sample2.dtfx pulls from file QS36F/SAMPLE2. These files contain different sets of the same type of data, so I'd like both of these to download to Container.xlsx, which serves as a data source for a complicated Word merge document. The Word merge document requires that the first worksheet in Container.xlsx have a constant name. However, the two .dtfx icons each set a different value for that name: QS36F.SAMPLE1>Sheet1 and QS36F.SAMPLE2>Sheet1, respectively. Right now I have to get around this by downloading into two different Excel documents and creating wo different Word merge documents.

Awesome! Thank you very much! (Sorry it took me so long to respond. I keep forgetting IBM doesn't email me a notification when these requests have been commented on unless they require more information.)

This requested enhancement is in version 1.1.6.0 which is now available. See section "9.8.3 Data Transfer Sheet Name" in the GettingStarted document. Add the specified property to the AcsConfig.properties file before starting the product.

OK, I've uploaded AW and ACS versions of the download icon and the Excel workbooks. I redacted most of the data from the Excel workbooks, but I left the worksheet names the way they downloaded.

I'm downloading to an .xlsx file, not an active workbook. Downloads to .xlsx files via Access for Windows named the worksheet according to the downloaded Excel document's name, which would have been "Container" in this case. (I would have preferred even then to leave it as "Sheet1" instead, but at least the name didn't change when the source file did.) I'll upload some attachments shortly; they'll have more specific names than "Sample," so I'll set them as private.

You indicated that " the two .dtfx icons each set a different value for that name: QS36F.SAMPLE1>Sheet1 and QS36F.SAMPLE2>Sheet1, respectively". But we reference the sheets by a numerical index not by name. You may edit either of the .dtfx files to verify. If you are seeing the names you indicate, please provide the .dtfx file.

Are you downloading directly to an .xlsx file or to an Active spreadsheet?
Was this a working scenario for you using the Data Transfer feature of IBM i Access for Windows?
