For fully free RPG provide support for program described printer files

Provide support for program described printer files. Since in fully free RPG there is no support for output specification, please change the WRITE op-code to direct coutput to non external described printer files. The PRTCTL keyword for line spacing and skipping is already there and can be used.
E.g.: write qsysprt data-structure. Data-structure contains the data to be written.

Use Case:

dcl-f qsysprt printer(80) prtctl(dsQsysprt);

dcl-ds dsQsysprt qualified;
spaceBefore char(3);
spaceAfter char(3);
skipBefore char(3);
skipAfter char(3);
currentLine zoned(3);
end-ds;

dcl-ds dsRow qualified;
data char(80);
end-ds;

dsQsysprt.spaceBefore = '001';
dsRow.data = 'Hello World.";

write qsysprt dsRow;

    This is already supported.

    RPG has always supported writing to a program-described file with a data structure. The code you provided will compile and run, after fixing the small syntax-error in the "Hello world" line (change the double quote to a single quote).

    If your requirement is to allow a data structure to be specified in the result field for a WRITE operation to a program-described printer file, then that has always been available, even in RPG III. The code you posted will compile and run fine.
