This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

.PTFs are available for 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 to add a new TGTCCSID parameter to the CRTBNDRPG and CRTRPGMOD commands.
The PTFs are
7.1 SI62580
7.2 SI62604
7.3 SI62605
Specify TGTCCSID(*JOB) or specify a numeric value such as TGTCCSID(5035) or TGTCCSID(37) to compile Unicode source. To compile SQLRPGLE source, use the RPGPPOPT and COMPILEOPT parameters of the CRTSQLRPGI command, for example RPGPPOPT(*LVL1) COMPILEOPT('TGTCCSID(*JOB)').
Please note: If you apply or remove these PTFs, any changes you have made to command defaults for the CRTBNDRPG or CRTRPGMOD commands will be lost, and you will have to change the defaults again.
For more information about the TGTCCSID parameter, see this RPG Cafe wiki page: http://ibm.biz/RPG_Compile_Unicode_Source
