Change/set sort sequence for SQL tables

Could a way be developed to easily alter the sort sequence of a SQL table?

For DDS tables there is an option in the CRTPF and CHGPF to set the sort sequence, so hopefully this won't be too hard to do.

Use Case:

We ran into an issue when SQL tables have a sort sequence and I can't find a way to remove the sort sequence without creating a new table without it and loading the data into it, dropping the original table and then renaming the new table.

SQL tables by default use the sort sequence of the DB connection and there isn't a way to override this. We always make JDBC DB connections using a sort sequence of langidshr to make sure our queries work correctly. The problem is that our deployment code also does the same when it builds new tables, so all of our table have a sort sequence of langidshr instead of *HEX and this is causing issues.

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

This RFE has been re-evaluated. Due to the relatively low number of votes, this RFE is now being declined.

While this is technically possible, it is not a simple change.
We will leave this RFE open to see if others vote for it.
Also, it would help to see the business justification.
    Thanks, Scott
