RPG compiler bad behaviour with *VARSIZE and litterals

when a prototype declare size 1 option(*varsize),
when the program uses the prototyped call passing a litteral parameter, even if the litteral is long, the compiler has no care of *VARSIZE, and truncates the litteral at size 1.
the result is a memory corruption

rpg compiler does not say anything (no error, no warning). At least, add a warning message in the compilation list.

the best option is to respect the litteral to send to the called.

try to read LICPGM list.

346 days required to find the reason of the error !

    IBM does not intend to change the behavior for OPTIONS(*VARSIZE) and CONST, so this request is being closed.

    OPTIONS(*VARSIZE) is intended to allow parameters to be passed that are smaller than the prototype indicates. The length of a parameter defined with OPTIONS(*VARSIZE) and CONST should be the longest length expected for the parameter.
