Run SQL statements using IBM I Source physical Files

This is lost functionality
2) More than colleague runs these scripts
3) Using a source physical file on the IBM i allows you to keep the scripts in the schema that they belong to
4) Backups are automatically handled
5) No concerns/lost scripts when someone leaves the company

I'll requeue for a few days for any follow up questions.

Maybe consider using a mapped network drive for saving the scripts. Although this does not keep the script in a library, it would be possible to save the scripts in a normal cycle, and they would not be lost when someone leaves the company.

IBM has received this requirement and is evaluating it. A response will be provided when evaluation is complete.

Isn't this what RUNSQLSTM does? We use it for SQL processing on 7.1 and the command is documented thru 7.3. If it's not working, I would seek a fix to this via a PMR/SR (Problem Management Report/Service Request). If that fails, I'll support this RFE.

You could try promoting this on the Midrange-L list at midrange.com
