Parameter Optional - Allow Usage w/o Linked Reports

The optional parameters only show up on Auto Prompt screen if there are other non-optional parameters setup. These need to show up even if there are no other parameters.

Use Case:

On a report we need the ability to use the optional prompt by itself or multiple optional prompts. We want the flexibility to enter a customer number or leave it blank and see all customer numbers; and we want the user to be able to type in their customer vs using a drop down and weeding through an entire list of customer numbers. Currently, you can set up one optional prompt but when you run the report it defaults to FOC_NULL and you don't get the Auto Prompt to type in one customer vs getting all by default. However, if you add some other non-optional prompt like a dynamic or simple, then the optional shows up on the Auto Prompt screen and works fine.

IBM believes that the request described has been solved and is available through the following configuration steps. First, open the Administration Console then click on 'Parameter Prompting'. Set 'Managed Reporting when Prompt Parameters Property Unset' to 'Always Prompt'. This shows optional prompts without a required prompt, and allows you to choose all values or a specific value for the field.
