RELATED IDEAS

RSTC and DynamicRM Debian support

Debian support officialy ppc64el architecture since Debian 10.

It's works fine on LPAR under PowerVM , but IBM not provide RSCT, DynamicRM, System Resource Controller and Service RM for debian.

We must install ubuntu .deb packages from https://launchpad.net/~ibmpackages/+archive/ubuntu/rsct PPA repository.

And this package are close source so community can not build and maintain package.

Please provide officialy this packages for Debian. Debian is a populary and stable distribution use by many compagny on production .

Officialy Debian for powerVM can only contribute to the success of power system

    Hello,

    no there is no issue with these packages.

    But they are built for ubuntu, even if it works under debian, I would like to know if it is possible to maintain these packages also for debian.

    Hello. Our Linux team needs more information. The referenced PPA, https://launchpad.net/~ibmpackages/+archive/ubuntu/rsct, is regularly maintained by IBM. Is there a usability issue with this repository or a question regarding the support? If you can help provide some clarity, that would be helpful. Thanks.
