We should come up with reference architectures and solution blueprints to create IBM Power system appliances for IBM and Non-IBM Software stack e.g. IBM CloudPak, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, EDB, MongoDB etc.

Many customers (SMEs and mainly project teams in the Enterprises) want to deploy mission-critical applications, database, and middleware solutions with high availability, performance, and above all security, and to integrate IBM and open-source software stack on multiple hardware platforms is costly and risky. A validated and certified solution with specifications/configurations for different sizes, such as Small, Medium, and Large (mentioned the number of users for each size), and helps select the right infrastructure and simplifies deployment of both IBM and non-IBM workloads by reducing the integration challenges. This will help the customer to have a Single Point of Contact to resolve problems and issues.

This will help us convince Solution Providers and ISVs to deploy IBM and non-IBM software stacks on tested and verified specifications on IBM Power Systems platform.

For small and medium businesses, physical appliances can be announced (customized solution with one MT-M that can be upgraded if needed), for the enterprises, based on the number users/workload, pre-validated configurations should be available along with the Reference architecture and automated deployment playbooks.
