Monitor and correct PPRC consistency status to ensure mirrored disks are in-sync

Why is it useful? Failover may cause significant data loss if mirrored disks are out-of-sync for an extended period. By monitoring and automatically correcting or alerting PPRC out-of-sync condition will minimize data loss in the event of a failover.

Who would benefits for it? Any customer using PPRC to mirror disks could benefit.

How should it work? PowerHA would periodically poll the PPRC consistency status of all mirrored disks managed by PowerHA. It could be implemented analogous to User Application Monitor Script clas_nfsv4 generated by PowerHA for managing cross-system mounted NFS filesystems.

For example, a temporary network failure could cause the PPRC connection to stop. The correction would be to attempt to restart the connection or notify the customer.
