Power Supply "AC resume" message enhancement for P7/8/9 CEC and IO Drawer

Existing P7/8/9 do not have power supply resume message from HMC. and the AC loss message are only prompt once. Customer do have not any methodology to remote monitor if the CEC / IOC power supply status except go into the data-center to check the green light in person.

It is request to have two enhancement for the power supply error message handling on HMC
1) Enable Power Supply resume message can be logged on HMC (Existing can only check SPCN log by on-site CE). Make the resume message visible to customer and can alert through HMC call-home service

2) Enable checking for "AC loss" error and prompt in regular basis. Existing just have one log when issue happened and will not have reminder unless server power on/off. while there is no "power resume" message on HMC, it is easy to overlook by operator

It's simply embarrassing that cheap whitebox Intel gear can display whether AC is present on each power supply, yet our enterprise quality POWER systems can't.

The CAAC is asinine to the extreme. Of course POWER systems should be able to report every health metric, and the application of UPS best practices isn't even relevant.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM not implement this request. A better solution is to install a UPS communications relay card to your Power machine, along with a proper UPS handling program, so a graceful shutdown happens if you lose power.
