Concurrent Maintenance for Ethernet adapter component SFP - FRU for SFP request

Please provide concurrent maintenance using own FRU = Field Replaceable Unit number for adapter component SFP for ethernet adapter EN0J, EL38, EN0H, EL56, CCIN for all is 2B93, vendor Emulex / Broadcom. Currently a FRU number is available for whole adapter only.

    Carmelita , this is not really an acceptable answer ..

    We are talking about a serviceability improvement request .. not a sales / marketing feature

    These adapters will be under MA in the field for a long time ..

    As mentioned in previous comments these adapters are withdrawn. The latest ethernet adapters with SFPs do have replacable parts and some fibre channel adapters have replacable FRU optics.

    Same request for for SAN FibreChannel with CCIN 578E (Feature Codes: EL5W, EL5X, EN1C, EN1D, EL5X). We had several replacements of the whole HBA, although only one SFP was defect, which can easily be replaced. There is a lot of potential to save cost!

    #EN0A PCIe3 16 Gb 2-port Fibre Channel Adapter, CCIN 577F

    Not only ethernet but add also Fibre HBA please
    Customers are unhappy with the procedure to replace the card which means at lot of preparation from their side.
