This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

[06/24/2017] Just a quick update... closing as a duplicate request of https://jazz04.rchland.ibm.com:12443/jazz/web/projects/PowerVC%20RFE#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=55164 ... thanks!
Thank you for the request - we will consider this for a future release. In the meanwhile, you are correct that you can use VIOS shared storage pool (SSP) technology. Alternatively, you can also explore using the NetApp driver directly from the OpenStack community under the "pluggable" storage model - i.e., a model in which you can freely download any OpenStack driver from the open source community and plug it in to PowerVC... however, in this model, note that IBM has not certified the storage driver, so we can't guarantee what works and what doesn't - i.e., it's "use at your own risk" in terms of the storage support. But, it does provide some flexibility that we wanted to ensure you're aware of. Thanks again for your interest in PowerVC!
