PowerVC NetApp as storage provider

Currently NetApp is not one of the available storage providers for NPIV disk. As I understand NetApp has Openstack drivers available,so it should be possible to add NetApp as one of the storage providers in PowerVC

Thank you for the request - we will consider this for a future release. In the meanwhile, you are correct that you can use VIOS shared storage pool (SSP) technology. Alternatively, you can also explore using the NetApp driver directly from the OpenStack community under the "pluggable" storage model - i.e., a model in which you can freely download any OpenStack driver from the open source community and plug it in to PowerVC... however, in this model, note that IBM has not certified the storage driver, so we can't guarantee what works and what doesn't - i.e., it's "use at your own risk" in terms of the storage support. But, it does provide some flexibility that we wanted to ensure you're aware of. Thanks again for your interest in PowerVC!
