This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. With openstack commands like nova, cinder, glance etc. there is a possibility to retrieve data with very basic syntax on command line from running powervc version 1.2.1 , like on examples below. Outputs are formatted to clear text-based tables.
nova list
cinder list
glance image-list
After upgrade of powervc to 1.2.2 FP2 there is an issue with simple command line syntax (like those above) and workaround is to use of more complex command on cmd line (like those below) for e.g. nova, and moreover for cinder command there is no output in any case of use. Cinder usually ends up with several different errors (complaining authorization, ssl, keystone, domain, volume api etc.)
nova --os-user-id 0 --os-tenant-id <tenant_id> --os-auth-url https://<host>:5000/v2.0 --insecure list
cinder --os-username root --os-password <password> --os-tenant-id <tenant-id> --os-auth-url https://<host>:35357/v3 --os-token <os_token> --os-volume-api-version 1 --insecure --debug list
neither of these worked:
8774/v2
5000/v2.0
/powervc/openstack/identity/v3
35357/v2.0 # this one gives http resp. 200, OK but no data
