Hi
We have 2 x Initiator Port Groups [ Each with 4 ports coming from dual SAN Fabrics via a Pair of VIO Servers] and 16 x Target SVC Stroage Port groups [ 4 ports with vWWNs in SVC where 2 ports from Fabric A and other two from Fabric B ]. If we try to get 8 target Storage port groups to have SVC vWWNs come from IO Group0 and other 8 to come from IO group1, it fails to load balance and PowerVC does not support such balacing.
What we need is each IPG to deploy and attach storage LUNs using one of the Storage Port groups coming from a single IO Group [ Balance all LUNs between 2 Nodes of an IO group]. When attaching more/new LUNs, it shoud always use the same IO group where current disks are attached rather than scatter.
In other words what we are asking is to enble similar to "useoneiogroup" in initiator side on the SVC port groups when provisioning and attaching Volumes to a VM with all LUNs moved to or attached from same IO group in SVC where current boot LUN is attached.
Happy to provide further detials once reviewed. Thanks.
