PowerVC to provide LPAR/VM console in the PowerVC UI for HMC managed hosts.

Currently the PowerVC doesn't provide a LPAR/VM console in the PowerVC UI for HMC managed hosts.  This function is only available for Novalink managed hosts.

This provides an inconsistent user experience between Novalink and HMC managed hosts in PowerVC & adds the complication & additional management/maintenance/complication of requiring Novalink to provide this functionality.

Having PowerVC provide the VM console in the PowerVC UI for HMC managed hosts would provide the following benefits:

  •  A consistent user experience for Novalink & HMC managed hosts with regards to the availability of the LPAR console in the PowerVC UI.
  •  Provision of the LPAR console to upstream cloud tools without the need for Novalink
  •  Reduced complication and overheads in small PowerVC environments that do not require Novalink for scalability (sub 45 hosts/5000 VMs)

This feature would benefit all PowerVC with HMC managed hosts.

This feature would require the implementation of the dependency idea [HMC-I-608] for the HMC.
