PowerVC support for saving/restoring customer entered meta-data in case of re-install / restore operations

A key differentiator for PowerVC, as compared to management with just HMC, is the option to augment objects with comments to further clarify the role of that specific object. An example is a VM where we add a comment that this VM is used in the context of project A and expected to be deleted in 2 month.
PowerVC needs to provide tooling to extract/export customer entered meta data, like comments to VMs or LUNs, Renamed VMs, images, ... in case PowerVC needs to be cleaned up / restored / reinstalled.
After reinstall of PvC and rediscovery of HMC, network, storage,VMs,images there needs to be tooling to re-add the meta-data back to the PowerVC objects.
The exported meta data needs to be human readable / processable so that a sub-set of information can be extracted, manually, and re-applied as needed.
