VM Sate synchronization with HMC

Assume VM state is "shutoff" in PowrVC UI VM page and HMC. Activate the VM using HMC UI. It normally takes >4 mins to synchronize the state in PowerVC UI VM page with HMC state.

I would propose a mechanism to set the time for automatic refresh by user or admin so that user/admin will have option to get the VM state update quickly or sooner than the default time (I guess 4 mins).

Refresh page won't update correct state of VM in accordance with HMC state. It takes > 4 mins to synchronize the state with HMC

    Thanks for the suggestion. The periodic refresh cycles are done via internal refresh mechanisms and there are a lot of efforts put into the development to ensure that performance isn't sacrificed. One of the key design points of PowerVC is simplicity and efficiency, so we've tried to hide a lot of these types of "low level" knobs from the interface. In general, we advise people to use the PowerVC interface directly so that these state changes are instantaneous - and in the (hopefully rare) cases where the HMC is touched directly, the feeling was that 3-5 minutes for a refresh time would suffice.
