Support for 192 vCPUs per LPAR in a shared pool

The client wants to run 2 LPARs on a 192 core system sharing all the resources with each LPAR running with 192 vCPUs.

The current limitation running is 128 vCPUs per LPAR when running in shared processor mode.

    Starting in FW860.40 IBM is providing a technology preview that would support >128 virtual processors for a shared processor partition. Please contact the IBM PowerVM Offering Manager for additional information on this support.
