Checking power consumption of a server from log or via command

Checking power consumption of a server from log or via command.

Currently, we have an option to check a particular server power consumption from the PDU ( if connected separately) or from the outside cables using a meter. This needs a personal visit to the DC with meter and he needs to check it.

To avoid this and to get an instant report if we can add any command or log to get the realtime value from the system that would be better.

    Hi Shinil,

HMC does provide an option to get Energy Mertics on supported systems which has Power Usage and Thermal Metrics. Please see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/power9/9223-42S?topic=monitoring-energy for more details. Please let us know if this addresses your requirement.

    Thanks.
