VIOS Logging to a syslog endpoint

We are being pressured by our security teams to provide logging from the VIOs to a syslog endpoint that feeds splunk.
We have a config from support that would allow this, but it has to be implemented via the oem_setup environment and is not supported by IBM.

We would like a supported interface exposed to padmin or via the HMC that would allows us to direct log messages, specifically security related messages related to logins of the padmin user, to a syslog endpoint.

    We asked for this too on a support ticket and it went nowhere.
