System: PowerVM
Actor: Add MTU check to LPM verification
The verification phase of PowerVM serves to provide a method of determining if a LPM will be successful
Description: We recently had a series of systems fail after LPM due to MTU mismatch. We are looking to get MTU checked as a part of the LPM Verification for each virtual adapter at the LPAR level and at the SEA/Physical level on the VIO servers between systems.

.We cannot look to LPM validation to solve all networking misconfiguration.
There are two issues.
1) When the SEA on the source server is configured with Jumbo mtu, but the SEA on the destination server is not enabled with Jumbo mtu, you don't just have LPM problem, there is a network configuration problem overall. The clients on the two servers cannot communicate reliably.
2) The fact a SEA is enabled with Jumbo mtu, it doesn't mean that every client served by the SEA requires Jumbo mtu. Some of the clients served by the SEA may very well use standard mtu.
