Retry FDISC to re-establish a NPIV connection at a user settable time frame

In a virtualized environment with NPIV certain fabric changes (such as firmware updates) may require the need to re-establish a NPIV connection using a FDISC. This FDISC is being retried. If this is not successful the NPIV client is giving up, and the connection down the adapter remains down, and some manual intervention is required. However, under certain circumstances these retries are being made too quickly (if the switch is being overloaded with various FDISC requests). Currently the FDISC is being retried after a hard coded value (T2_LOG).
To allow this FDISC retried after a user settable value instead of a hard coded value this RFE has been opened.
This problem has been already discussed with Madhu D from Power VM VIOS L3 team. See parent SF case TS001037955 and related skill cases TS001089464 and TS001039019.

    IBM has evaluated the priority of this enhancement proposal relative to other future product content and determined that this RFE will not be pursued for a future product release
