Integrate with PowerVC Novalink managed environments

Currently the lack of support/integration with a PowerVC Novalink managed environment is a stopper for the use of VM Recovery Manager within environments that utilise this configuration (On premise private Power Clouds). VMRM performs it's LPAR operation on the HMC, but with Novalink, the HMC is not managing the LPARs on Novalink managed hosts and thus cannot function.

VMRM should integrate better with these environments and perform LPAR functions via PowerVC when an environment is PowerVC managed. In this way, VMRM will integrate cleanly with PowerVC and will be able to function in Novalink managed environments. This would benefit all customers using PowerVC+VMRM & make VMRM available to Novalink managed environments.

VMRM could also utilise PowerVC host groups and manage the failover of VMs/LPARs between hostgroups located at different sites.
