We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Start by posting ideas and requests to this portal to enhance a Power product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas and add comments to ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The Power teams will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

In the Open Source Package Manager it would be fantastic if there was a way to search or refine the list of packages instead of having to scroll through the entire list. This could apply to all three sections: Installed, Updates and Available pack...
change ACS configuration path names with proper encoding
ACS paths containing configuration files are stored with some special encodings, like: C:\users\<username>\Documents\IBM\iAccessClient\Settings\client.configuration\com.ibm.iaccess.base.x0041csx0053ystemx0043onfig It seems that those x0041 s...
The only IBM 5250 emulator that worked on mobile devices (iPhone and Android) was 5250 applet which was a part of IBM access for Web (5770-XH2). As the IBM access for Web had been discontinued since IBM i 7.5, there are no alternative 5250 emulato...

Since is it 2022 and not 1982, it would be better to default to 27x132 for ACS 5250 Display Configurations. I...
Allow Visual Explain query plan to be saved to local file
Currently Visual Explain has two options: you may save the diagram as an image, or save the query details to a performance monitor on the IBM i. I would like to see a third option available, to save the query details to a local PC file (and subseq...
Show object names by default in Visual Explain diagram
After a fresh install of Access Client Solutions, the default diagram view for Visual Explain shows the Icon Type, but not the Object Name in the icon label. I would like to suggest that both should be enabled as a default. I often get asked to he...
All the PASE packages are delivered by YUM - and it works great. The ACS interface even makes installation much easier. However not all open source is available in YUM. It will be rather useful to have a "one-stop-shop" for all kind of open source...

ACS - Schemas - provide for re-ordering of all columns in a table and views.
Please provide additional functionality to allow us to reorder any field/column on a table/view. As modernization happens or while developing new applications, new fields and keys are added and we do need to reorganize the sequence in which fields...
