    Hi Hemantha,

Additional attribute data masking is available with latest CMC and HMC levels (HMC 10.2.1040.0).

    Thanks

Not just Government clients, Financial institutions are very conscious of not allowing system internal identifiers and IP addresses unnecessarily in Cloud operations consoles.

    HI,

To further clarify, customers who operate secure environments does not need any of the Host Names, IP addresses exposed outside their private networks. Theerfore, ability to operare a PEP 2.0 pools with not exposing HMC/LPAR IP's, LPAR names ( as customers use profile names as hostnames in many cases), no domain names if the HMC hostname is configured with fqdn, and not to expose collect any IP addresses on any devices is the requriement.

Also, note that customers will be able to use Serial Number, MTM with either UUID or LPAR ID to uniquely identify within CMC and on-premise name mapping if they need to.

Another imporant requirements is that filtering must happen at the HMC before it sends out any details to the CMC via proxies as once it is left the HMC via the proxy, the information is already out on the CMC and customers does not want this.

    Thanks.

In order for IBM to successfully work with Government clients we need to be able to control the filtering/obfuscation of data sent off customer site. This feature will assist in gaining future sales, atm we risk sales to Government Departments that wish to use PEP with CMC.
