This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

The PowerHA team believes that the request described has been solved and is available with 7.4 HA 4.0.1 PTF SI71412 (plus language PTFs).
In 7.4, the Add Cluster Administrative Domain Monitored Resource Entry (ADDCADMRE) command now supports *ALL and wild cards on the monitored resource and library parameters. In addition, the omit parameter has been added. The new options are supported for user profiles, authorization lists, classes, job descriptions and subsystem descriptions. These simplify administrative domain setups; a single command can be used to add multiple resources at one time.
Additional information regarding the PTFs and enhancements provided is available via the PowerHA release notes: https://ibm.biz/PowerHA_PTF_info
The PowerHA team agrees with the request and a solution appears to be desirable and feasible. The PowerHA team intends to provide a solution to the primary request in this request. However, the PowerHA team's plans may change and no commitment is made that a solution will be provided.
The PowerHA team has received the requirement and is evaluating it. The PowerHA team will provide a response after evaluation is complete.
IBM has modified some of the information in this request. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Specifically, this RFE contained multiple requests, which made it easier to see the theme, but they require varying levels of effort to implement and would not all be delivered at the same time. This RFE has now been reduced to cover only the first item in the prioritized list, since that one was the most important to the Submitter. We need to ask that you submit each of the other items as separate RFEs so that they can be assessed, voted on, and delivered separately.
For reference:
The original Headline was "PowerHA Admin Domain".
The original Description was:
Admin Domain Enhancements:
Format for Example: Object/Obj Type/Library Name
1. Enabling *ALL/*ALL/Library Name w/Omit Exceptions. Specific omits would take priority over generics Includes.
2. Enabling wildcards i.e. ABC*/Obj Type/Library Name w/Omit Exceptions. Specific omits would take priority over generics Includes.
3. Include repair action options when found to be *inconsistent or *failed between designated system of record and HA replica. This would be a Compare/Repair function.
4. Schedulable Audit Reporting of differences between source and replica.
5. As library objects, configuration object, source members, IFS directories, DLO objects, profiles, etc. are added on the source for an existing defined library or path, create it automagically on the replica.
6. As items are updated or deleted on the source, update or delete in replica.
7. Schedulable report of all objects defined as being defined for replication.
8. Add all administrative features to ACS.
9. ACS User Customizable SQL Admin Domain Reporting?
The original Use Case was:
All features requested would simplify and create the opportunity for a set it and forget it replication solution for SYSBASE. Adding all that is and can be for the Admin Domain into ACS will bring this utility into the modern era. ACS as a one stop administration portal will lend to the IBM i as "not your father's" old legacy server to the contemporary greater IT community, in addition to creating further ease of administration for the IBM i IT professional.
Hello Dawn! The order of submission is the order of priority our team determined, however all are essential for maturing and evolve functionality and reliability for this product.
Per the previous comment from CAAC, please reply back by adding a Comment to this RFE that contains your list in prioritized order.
The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed. However, you do have multiple requests within this one RFE. Could you please reply with a prioritization of your list?
Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
