My drawing of an analogy to war from server names may be offensive to some, but I'm using it anyway because anyone in the trenches of the IBM i community can see that the policymakers (aka IBM) are continuing their push down a dark path.
Did you take up the challenge I issued in my last note, or are you so jaded that community comment is irrelevant?
We have no plans on renaming IBM i. Its been over 10 years now that we have had this name, and changing the name again will cause far more damage and confusions then good.
Let's just leave it alone. We've been through enough renames over the past 18 years.

I still use "AS400" for Google searches because searching for "i" is unproductive.

Ken_Kuhlman is right. AS500 would be instantly accepted by all AS400 and IBM i users.
But maybe IS500 in order to keep something of the IBM i. or IS700 or AS2020, IS2020 (for Year 2020)
When an adult makes a mistake, they admit it, fix it, and move on. If there's one thing that's true about this community, it's that we're all adults.
A name like AS500 would be instantly recognizable to millions, is search-engine optimized, and would bring smiles to many a face.
Don't believe me? Try it: "Hey Joe, I just heard that IBM is going to rename the platform to the AS500. They say it will help with Google searches."

I was not a fan of renaming to IBM i - and it certainly caused issues with google searches for a while. But the very last thing we need is another rename. We have had IBM i for many years now - let's just stick with it.
dude, u mean again?? just call it OS/400 and the machine: AS/400, everyone will know what you're talking about
AS/500 and SilverLake would be good choices. The new name should come with significant feature changes, along the lines of dropping System 36 & 38 support & adding Docker functionality. Maybe go ahead and kill the OPM & archaic features like read triggers too.
Companies that are glued to features of yesteryear can stay on the IBM i.
