QzipUnzip to return comment stored with QzipZip

The QzipZip()--Compress Files and Directories API allows you to store a 512 byte comment in the ZIP00100 options format.

The QzipUnzip()--Decompress an archive file API however does not include this information in the corresponding UNZIP100 options format. I therefore suggest the comment information (data and length) is added to the UNZIP100 options format.

Use Case:

Company A has stored processing information i the comment options attribute of an archive using the QzipZip API.

Company B needs to access this operational information for further processing purposes when decompressing the archive using the QzipUnzip API.

IBM agrees with the request and a solution appears to be desirable and feasible. IBM intends to provide a solution. However, IBM's plans may change and no commitment is made that a solution will be provided.

Basically I'm talking about the QzipUnzip API being able to retrieve the comment that the QzipZip API is able to store with the archive.

I suspect you are looking for a way to interrogate a ZIP file to get content information and metadata.

The API you are referring to extracts ZIP file contents.
