Allow %KDS to be used for comparison

I would like to have the possibility to use the %KDS function in a compare situation. something like
if %kds(MyFileRecKey : 2) <> %kds(MyFileRecKeyOld : 2);
break2 = '1';
endif;

This would make it easier to test for "levelbreaks" when reading a file.

If combined with the RFEs
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=135649
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=89289
it would provide a really simple way to make this test.

Use Case:

Much code left out but this is only to clarify my point.

FMyFileP1 IF E K DISK include(MyFileR1)
D MyFileRec ds likerec(MyFileR1 : *INPUT)
D MyFileRecKey ds likerec(MyFileR1 : *KEY)
D MyFileRecKeyOld ds likerec(MyFileR1 : *KEY)
.
. code left out
.
eval-corr MyFileRecKey = MyFileRec;

if %kds(MyFileRecKey : 2) <> %kds(MyFileRecKeyOld : 2);
break2 = '1';
endif;

if %kds(MyFileRecKey : 3) <> %kds(MyFileRecKeyOld : 3);
break3 = '1';
endif;

eval-corr MyFileRecKeyOld = MyFileRec;

    IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

    It is unlikely that IBM will deliver this enhancement in the near future.

    However, please see RFE 109159, which is about comparing data structures in general. That enhancement is a prerequistive for this request. If the general enhancement for comparing data structures is implemented, then this enhancement could be considered.

    IBM has received the requirement and is evaluating it. IBM will provide a response after evaluation is complete.
