SNDPTFORD returns "error" when all PTF in a group are current

When using SNDPTFORD to download a group e.g. SF99741, after checking all installed PTF, system reports CPF8C24 with severity 40 and "Error occured while processing request" - but all PTF in this group already are installed.

Use Case:

This is a "negative" message for a "positive" result which makes the user think something went wrong.

SNDPTFORD no longer behaves as the title specifies as has been stated in the RFE comments. If the behavior is seen again, this should be reported as a defect.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” low priority feature. Many customers use downloads from Fix Central for PTFs, but it is not great to have a misleading error message when using SNDPTFORD.

    Hello Holger,

When using the command "sndptford sf99741 chkptf(*YES)" I do get back a CPC8C06 "PTF order complete. No service number assigned".

So I wonder which command you are using to get that message. Do you want to share that please?

    Greetings Rudi
