Please let me select STRSBS after running GO SAVE. Merged

Please let me select STRSBS after running GO SAVE.

STRUPPGM contains user processing. Also JOBSCD and others will run.
Therefore, when considering work such as PTF, STRUPPGM starts up after executing GO SAVE.
It is not perfect as GO SAVE to change STRUPPGM before GO SAVE.


Use Case:

PTF,System Change,Weekly, monthly, annual Backup,etc...

    Thank you for the information that a Yes/No field to start the controlling subsystem would satisfy your request. The request is a duplicate of RFE 111085. Please use that RFE to cast a vote or add a comment.

    I was thinking in the former.
    (Start controlling subsystem . . . : _ Y=Yes, N=No)

    Because the control subsystem is set by system value.
    If you want to raise another subsystem after backup, you can run it with STRSBS after completing backup with "N".

    IBM needs more information to further assess your Request for Enhancement. Do you want a Yes/No choice to start the controlling system after the backup? Or do you want the ability to start a subsystem other than the controlling subsystem? For example, which of the following do you prefer?

    Start controlling subsystem . . . : _ Y=Yes, N=No

    Start subsystem after backup . . . : __________ Name, *CTLSBS, *NONE

    IBM has received the requirement and is evaluating it. IBM will provide a response after evaluation is complete.

    Or change to NOT TO RUN qstruppgm after go save, where system was allready in restricted state before.
