New IBM i Service for SMTP

I would like an IBM i Service to view and manage the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) on IBM i.

Ideally this service would not only allow a user to view and or modify the configuration of SMTP but also to view the Email History stored within that system in the manor made available by the Work with SMTP Emails command WRKSMTPEMM

The CAAC has reviewed this Idea and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. This Idea is asking for both viewing and modifying, but given the low amount of changes to an SMTP server, is there value for allowing modification? The modifying is Low priority. However, we agree that viewing the config and viewing the SMTP e-mails would be valuable so that part we would vote High...

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed. Having a solution to meet this need seems like a good idea. However, we have voted medium as we would like IBM to focus on other prioriries at this time

Thank you for taking the time to submit your request. IBM has reviewed the request and it is related to https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/IBMI-I-2379; however, requests the ability to display additional information through an SQL service. IBM will use this request as input to planning, but no commitment is made or implied. This request will be updated in the future if IBM implements it. IBM will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this request.

great idea - maybe the general SMTP Service should be reviewed for functionality and administrative capabilities. Is it only for sending mails to monitoring or customers, which should not need much attention, or will IBM extend the functionality to a simple email sending and receiving client?
