Thank you very much for all the information provided. I still think that it would be better to have the availability of a SQL table function directly on the documentation page as it is already done for APIs.
But at least the IBM i Services (SQL) page is very helpful as well as the link to it on the IBM i Services page. Last but not least the QSYS2.SERVICES_INFO table is a great source of information.

IBM believes this resolves the request in an way that is easy to understand.
One additional note that could help you out. There is an SQL service, a table named QSYS2.SERVICES_INFO, that contains information about the level of every service on your system. This table can be queried by application code to identify what is available for use on that system.
