Allow selection of multiple items in screen designer

In CODE/Designer you can lasso many items on the panel you are designing and do things with them, like move, duplicate, DELETE or change a COLOR ATTRIBUTE.


Use Case:

Use CODE/Designer and attempt to lasso many items and then delete or change the color. You will be able to affect all the items lassoed.

In Screen Designer you can select many items but you can only do actions on one of the items, usually the last item you selected in the multiple item select.

Not doing this RFE reduces programmer productivity when compared to SDA or CODE/Designer.

    Thank you for taking the time to submit your request. After careful consideration, we know that we cannot deliver your requested enhancement in the near term, so it is being declined. However, your request does align with the future strategy of our product and we believe it may have future value, so we will add it to an internal list for us to keep in mind for the future.

    Even just selecting multiple items in Screen Designer, to move them around as a unit, is clumsy - you have to selected them one at a time, and then hope you use the right button, Ctrl or Shift.

    I suggest also that Shift and click/drag adds to what is selected, Ctrl and click/drag removes from what is selected. That behavior is found in some image editors, so not precisely this context. Still, it seems a useful thing to do.

    We have reviewed this requirement and we feel it would be a beneficial enhancement to the product. We hope to be able to add it to our development plans in the future.
